Description

On this excursion, you will be able to experience some of the most unique places on Fuerteventura. After your pickup, we will drive to the first we stop on our trip - the Barranco de las Peñitas. First we climb on an unmarked path to the impressive Arco de las Peñitas. From the parking lot, it's around 100 meters in altitude. With a few nice photos in your pockets, we decent back to the Barranco de las Peñitas. Back in the canyon, we walk to the small chapel Ermita de la Peña. From here you have a great view of the gorge. From here it is another 350 meters to the Peñitas dam. This route to the land-filled dam is optional and we can also go directly back to the parking lot. After a short 10-minute drive, we arrive in the charming fishing village of Ajuy on the west coast of Fuerteventura. In Ajuy you have the chance for refreshment (ice cream/cold drink, etc.), as well as the opportunity to go to the toilet. After that, we visit the infamous so called pirate caves of Ajuy, which is with 20.6 million years one of the oldest geological spots on the Island of Fuerteventura. Back at the car, we drive 30 minutes south to Playa Ugan. From here, we walk along the coast through unreal sandstone formations until we reach the unique Crocodile Rock. South of here we can already spot our last destination of the day. The Punta Guadalupe in La Pared. After 10 minutes of driving, we reach the most famous surf spot of the south of Fuerteventura - the village of La Pared. Our last activity of the day, will be the climb to the Punta Guadalupe. We enjoy the breathtaking views over the Atlantic Ocean to end this day up.
